The reincarnation of Ranmaru, who was attendant to the Warring States general Nobunaga Oda. Nobunaga was sealed away long ago by the Five Star Warriors, and Ranmaru now plans to revive him in New York.

He looks like a kind, attractive youth, but his personality is cold and cruel, with a twisted hear that enjoys inflicting pain upon others.

he attacks with swift strikes from a massive scythe, though he can also unleash intensely hot fireballs.

He is the one who killed Gemini's master, Mifune, making him the object of her revenge.

Gameplay[]

Ranmaru first appears in Chapter 18: Escape from the Gangs of New York, appearing in the streets of New York where Gemini Sunrise identifies him while also wondering how he could be alive again. Several others recognize his name, though they connect him to the even more well known Nobunaga Oda. The group does deduce that Oda hasn't returned like he did, but Ranmaru declares that his dream is to ensure he returns to conquer the world. He reveals to the group that within the Little Lip Theatre is a fragment of the Demon Sword that contains Oda's soul, which he aims to retrieve. He does decide to observe the battle for a bit while sending Steam Beasts after them. After Dokurobo arrives with Lord Raptor, Ramaru decides to finally join the battle. After he is defeated, he angrily tells Gemini that he will never forgive her for taking pity on him and that he won't return the favor, promising to drive her into despair before finishing her. Unable to claim the shard of the Demon Sword, he retreats.

Ranmaru's second appearance is in Chapter 27: A Summation to Malice, appearing in cyberspace alongside Dokumezu, where he expresses delight over the power the golden chains have to revive the dead like himself. He becomes furious after learning that he and Dokumezu were lured out into cyberspace by Vile Mk. II, though he becomes amazed by the revival of Sigma, giving him some hope that the golden chains can restore Nobunaga. Despite being defeated, he was nonetheless satisfied by what he witnessed and sets off to find someone to help him revive Nobunaga.

Ranmaru's third appearance is in Chapter 32: Arisu in Marvel Land, where he appears with a few Risen from the Halidom of Ylisse, though he reveals he just returned to Great Oak Tree and went through the Fracture into Chrom and Lucina's world to retrieve them. He teams up alongside Ciseaux and Sheath to fight the heroes but is defeated. He says afterwards that Marvel Land doesn't have enough evil and he needs a place with limitless evil. He declares that Nobunaga Oda will finish Gemini as he retreats to find said limitless evil.

Ranmaru's fourth appearance is in Chapter 39: So Long, My Love, appearing from a portal in the Shinjuku Bypass alongside Dokurobo and several monsters of Basel. He explains that giant cities like the one they are currently in collect evil, and with it, in addition to his newfound dimension-crossing abilities, he will connect all the cities to New York to resurrect Azuchi Castle and therefore, Nobunaga Oda. Gemini tells Ranmaru that he should just let Oda rest in peace, but Ranmaru refuses to accept that as he proceeds to fight them. After he is defeated, he wonders how he could have lost in a city with so much evil, only for Gemini to retort that it wasn't the only thing abundant. When he asks what she means, she asks him if he still doesn't understand what Oda was feeling in his last moments. He demands her to shut up and refuses to give up before retreating.

Ranmaru's fifth and final appearance is in The Final Chapter: Arisu in Destinyland arriving at the Centipex with several Great Oak monsters, Steam Beasts, and Kouma. Gemini tells him that if Ouma manages to merge the worlds together, New York with vanish too. Ranmaru merely says that if that happens, he will create a new country out of what is left, calling it the perfect country for the return of a conqueror, at which he agrees to help Ouma set the charges. After he is defeated for the final time, he tells Gemini that he will never forget how humiliated he felt when Gemini took pity on him and that he hasn't given up on trying to revive Nobunaga Oda before dying from his wounds.
